Need help with wine bottle crafts and Diamond Dust ?

I am making wine bottle crafts with Diamond Dust (like glitter but cut gl) I am having a hard time getting it to stick to the bottle .I am spraying a clean bottle with spray adhesive and then spraying again after the glitter is on the bottle .Any help would be great . These are very pretty ,we make them with pictures of football teams and etc ,then sprinkle on diamond dust ,and place a string of lights inside .VERY NICE BUT the dust wont stay on .
