Does anyone know if the latest Oblivion update patched the raising your stats via duplicating items glitch?

I got on Oblivion a couple days ago after not being on for awhile and did the update not knowing what it was. Then i tried to duplicate an enchanted item which worked, however when trying the stat raising glitch via duplicating by wearing one duplicate then duping the other my stat changed back to normal after i put on a new piece of clothing which ended up removing my stat enhancement, does anyone know if this means i can't do that glitch anymore. (This glitch has worked for me b4 thats y i think a patch occured)
