Is it appropriate for athiests to critize christians for their conduct?

So why does being human mean you cannot live a peaceful life and pursue love? I am Atheist. I help others and don't hurt anyone who doesn't need it. If I can do it, why can't Christians? The thing you do not understand is that your spokespersons are in the streets with placards stating "God hates Gays". They are making films about how peanut er disproves evolution and how the banana proves that God exists. Personally, if I was you, I wouldn't be jumping up and down shouting "I'm a Christian." I would be too busy helping others. And when asked if you are religious, you can simply say "I believe in God and Christ and I follow the good parts of the Bible. I help others and hope that one day I meed God's standards." You don't have to call yourself a Christian and be tarred with the same brush unless you choose to.
