How do I replace the door boot/bellows on my frigidaire washing machine?

Well as I am an appliance repair tech I would suggest you have a professional do it.....but if you wanna try it here you go. first on the outside of bellow that is were door closes look very closely and you will see a small wire that goes around the bellow holding it. take a flat head screw driver work it under the wire and lift it until it is easy to grab and pull it off. second take bellow off and push it in the washer so you can now see into the gap between the door and tub. third is with hand reach in and feel the side of bellow that is on tub at about 1 o'clock here you will feel the clamp screw. fourth you will need either a stubby phillips screwdriver or a 9/32 nut driver. loosen clamp and then pull it off and then boot to. that is easy part of it. Putting a new one on for first time is a bear so be patient...reverse the new bellow inside out so you can line it up with inlet valve ok. now you will put it around tub between tub and counterweight. it has a notch in it that must line up then put on a new clamp around back tighten down only snug no more. then do front and put a new clamp on here don't use old ones. put clamp on at top with spring at bottom slowly pull straight down without pulling the bellow off and work clamp back around until it snaps back in place use fingers and it might pinch a little as you get to bottom but don't stop until it is on. good luck....... if your able to do it under an hour for first time great job......I have been doing these for years and I can do it now start to finish in 20 minutes.
