Is there a map program that you can use to pinpoint your distance from several different locations on a map?

I am relocating to Los Angeles and I want to be able to get an online map that can show me how far I will be from several key addresses based on where I live. Sorta like you would do with a regular map and put thumbtacks in the map for key locations...i'm sure there is an online program that is similar.
